Let Your Heart Guide You

"The number one reason people fail in life is because they listen to their friends, family, and neighbors."

~Napoleon Hill

It's natural to desire the approval, confirmation, and advice from those closest to you, but what if that is keeping you from the outcome that you're craving? The answers that you're seeking will be found when you are able to get silent and still enough to hear the inner voice that we too often ignore or mute. Looking for the wisdom from our loved ones oftentimes dilutes that intuition, which was keeping us on track in the first place.

Our friends and family have our best interests in mind usually, but their goals are most likely not our own. They're hoping to protect us from real and imagined danger and to keep us close to them. But sometimes we're meant to take calculated risks to make progress and to reach a level of success that has not yet been experienced by the individuals we're seeking insight from. So, their advice may be meant to sabotage us not because they don't love us. Just the opposite- they're afraid of losing us.

Guidance from an objective and disinterested source will generally be the most spot on, and our intuition will always illuminate the path we're destined to take. The most powerful thing we can do for our spiritual growth is to form a stronger relationship with ourselves and connection to our source through practice. This may be in the form of meditation, Reiki, yoga, breathwork, journaling, some form of artistic expression that puts us in touch with a deeper part of ourselves...

There are countless ways to achieve this same outcome, and the relationship we have with ourselves is the most important because it informs all of our other relationships. So, I encourage you to trust your intuition and let your heart be your guide. When we seek opinions from outside sources too often, that intuitive voice gets more and more difficult to hear. So, don't dilute it! Empower it through consistent practice and acting on your intuitive hits and heart's desires. They will never lead you astray.

Warmest Wishes,

Rachael
