💕Calling in the One: Day 25
Tuning into my intuition and divine guidance has been a huge part of my journey already. There are definitely times when voices of fear, parental criticism, personal bias, among others override my highly intuitive nature. So, I definitely appreciated the opportunity to strengthen that channel. Katherine Woodward Thomas recommends that you first write out what your feeling, your concerns, and the things you'd like to see happen. Follow up with "Dear God [or higher self or future self or creative flow-- whatever speaks to you], please write through my pen Thank you very much."
Then soften your gaze and allow yourself to do some automatic writing. If you're not there yet, don't think too much or filter yourself. Just write whatever comes to you. When you read back, you may find some really solid advice and divine guidance that came through. Thomas describes how she did this for about a year and a half until she was so in touch that the guidance came as soon as the question was posed. That's such an inspired way of living.
A piece of what came through for me, "Dear Rachael, Your sorrow has been fertilizer for your purpose. Use it in song, writing, transformation. See it, acknowledge it, and empathize with it in others. They will trust you...." A lot more came in that gave me a lot of hope. Some I need to keep to myself. I also had a phone conversation this evening with my spiritual sister that was really helpful as far as career goals and refining my practice. It was also really good for my heart to speak with her. For those of you that know me well, you know that I really dislike talking on the phone. For 10 years my job required answering the phone, so that probably has a lot to do with it. So, I have to reserve my mental energy for phone conversations that are necessary. Sometimes necessary for business purposes. Other times, necessary for nourishing my spirit. Knowing what's best for you also comes from being connected intuitively.
